PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy can be utilized in many cosmetic procedures. It’s not new, but in recent years, it has been used with increased regularity for cosmetic and other medical-related purposes. One reason PRP therapy is becoming so popular is its ease and the fact that it uses the body’s own healing mechanisms to treat injuries and wounds. PRP has been proven to help revitalize and tighten loose, saggy skin and is effective as a natural wrinkle filler.

PRP involves the use of the patient’s own blood, particularly the platelets. The platelets contain growth factors and other proteins which are responsible for wound healing, tissue, and collagen regeneration, etc. To extract the platelets- a small amount of a person’s is drawn, placed in a test tube, and then a centrifuge machine that spins the blood so that the blood components are separated. Once the platelets have been separated from the other blood components, it is removed from the test tube and again, either injected or sprayed onto the patient.

PRP Face Lift & Neck Lift

PRP is considered a natural alternative to many cosmetic procedures. When used for cosmetic purposes, at least for facial or neck rejuvenation, it is often referred to a Vampire lift. This is because of the use of blood, which is central to the procedure.

The first phase of the procedure involves drawing your blood and isolating the platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which only takes a few minutes. The platelets are activated to initiate the release of growth factors that promote tissue repair or regeneration and promote healing.

These growth factors are injected back into the stem cells present in the area of the skin being treated. This part of the procedure is done in a very particular way to trick the skin into thinking that part of the skin is injured.

The stem cells respond to the repair and heal the skin “injury” by growing new collagen, blood vessels and fatty tissue, which results in rejuvenated and younger-looking skin that last about nine months to two years.

Microneedling with PRP

Microneedling is a treatment that involves the use of tiny needles that produce micro-injuries to the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural collagen production – that substance that provides flexibility and strength to skin and body tissue.

To speed the healing process, microneedling is further enhanced by injecting PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) into the treated tissue.

The PRP is obtained from drawing a small amount of your own blood, from which the plasma is separated to concentrate healing properties. Microneedling with PRP can be used in several different areas of the body, including the face, neck, arms, décolleté, arms, abdomen, back, hands and legs.

How PRP Therapy Works

PRP is created from a person’s own blood and is a concentrated blend of plasma cells and specific growth factors. When injected into tissue, it bathes the cells to naturally stimulate the healing process.

This advanced technique is often used by professional athletes who need to recover as quickly as possible, to help to reduce recovery time.

As a regenerative technique that accelerates the body’s natural healing processes, in conjunction with microneedling, the treated area of skin can restore and rejuvenate for a firmer, more youthful texture and flexibility.

What are the benefits of microneedling with PRP?

Microneedling with PRP has many benefits, including:

  • Reduces broken capillaries and spider veins

  • Reduces the appearance of large pores

  • Reduces acne scars

  • Evens skin tone

  • Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Gives the skin a fresh glow

  • Gives the skin a firmer and smoother texture

  • Helps lighten sun spots

PRP Breast Lift

The PRP Breastlift is a non-surgical breast enhancement procedure. For this procedure, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood is injected into the cleavage area to stimulate and proliferate adipocytes (fat cells) in the breasts.

Over a three-month period, as the cells are stimulated, you can see an increase in breast size. In addition, PRP can be injected into the nipple to increase nipple sensitivity and correct inverted nipples.

It is safe to use with breast implants and can help to create a smoother cleavage line for implants that are causing rippling of the skin. The effects of the PRP Breastlift can be permanent but may shift with significant weight loss.
